Course Overview
In this course, participants will be introduced to Vuforia Studio as a platform that can transform the existing CAD and IoT data into rich Augmented Reality(AR) experiences embedded with critical information for front-line workers to carry out their work effectively. With reference to the AR industry use case deployed at the smart factory within Temasek Polytechnic Advanced Manufacturing Centre, participants will make use of the software and hardware kits to develop AR applications in the forms of immersive operation procedures, interactive equipment trainings as well as remote support tools as part of the workplace improvement projects for productivity gain.

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Technical Training & Support Engineer, Augmented Reality Specialist
Mr Tan Eng Heng
Mr Tan Eng Heng is a Lecturer with Diploma in Mechatronics. He is currently a core member of the team tasked to set up Temasek Polytechnic Advanced Manufacturing Centre(TP AMC). His areas of specialization are high speed machine design, virtual manufacturing and automated material handling system in the automation industry. In robotics, he has been coaching staff and students in programming and application of ABB robots and collaborative robot (YuMi).
Ms Oei Poh Hoon
Ms Oei Poh Hoon has more than 10 years of coaching experiences as a facilitator for full time diploma courses. She is also the lead facilitator for customized industrial courses in the area of 3D modelling as well as Virtual Reality(VR) and Augmented Reality(AR) technologies. She is also actively involved in industrial projects on immersive media technology at Enabling Technology Collaboratory(ETC).
Mr Tommy Tai
As a Manager in the Diploma in Computer Engineering in Temasek Polytechnic, Tommy provides technical advice and leadership for staff and student projects in the area of VR/AR technology. Tommy has worked on numerous industry collaboration projects in immersive media technology with various companies, including OSIM, DSTA, RSN, SUTD, Keppel. He is a certified Unity3D Developer and a certified ACTA Trainer for adult learner.
Mr Jayson Toh
Jayson has more than 10 years of 3D CAD modelling consulting experience. He is very experienced in conducting training for CAD modelling courses for semi-con industries, medical industries, aerospace industries and consumer products industries. He has been acknowledged in AR (Augmented reality) and working on AR use cases in industrial collaboration projects in the semiconductor industry, Proof of Concept projects and helped to develop AR Use cases in Temasek Poly Advanced Manufacturing Centre (TP AMC).
